As the 768' S/S John G. Munson readies itself to enter the Duluth Ship Canal and leave a surrealistically calm Lake Superior, the Great Lakes Fleet vessel is ultimately headed for the C. Reiss Coal Dock in west Duluth, MN. The Munson is carrying sugarstone and before eventually unloading it's cargo at C. Reiss, must first offload some of the shipment at Hallet Dock #5 to avoid grounding before making it's way up the shallower St. Louis River.
