Adams Lake (13x9 in.) - $45.00
With the hardwoods in full fall colors contrasting sharply with the dark conifers, Adams Lake in an isolated part of northeastern Minnesota is enjoying one of those 'Indian summer' days of mid October. Golden birches, aspens along with red-orange maples appear to make the sky more intense than it actually is. The cool evenings contrast sharply with the warm days, giving no indication of the harsh winter that will be shortly here. Adams Lake is about as remote as it gets in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, at least a full day's paddle from any location. Surrounded by a mixed boreal forest, the lake itself is an extremely clear-watered lake bordered by neighboring bodies of water that are darker, tannic stained.
