On one of those -25 below zero December nights, the northern lights streaked above the Canadian shoreline of Knife Lake in the Minnesota/Ontario border area. The Point Cabin, 1 of 4 cabins belonging to the legendary Dorothy Molter on the Isle of the Pines on the U.S. side of the border, was always a safe, comfortable haven from the brutal northern winters.
